Each and every one of our breeding cats has been carefully chosen not only for their stunning European type and breathtaking beauty. But more importantly, for their superior health, gentle temperament, and adherence to breed standards.

First and foremost, we look for cats with exceptional European type. We look for those with majestic features including large, expressive eyes, prominent muzzles, impressive ear tufts, and substantial bone structure. However, beauty alone is never enough. In addition to physical attributes, we carefully evaluate temperament to ensure our Maine Coon parents possess the sweet, gentle, dog-like personalities that make this breed so beloved.
Health Testing: The Heart of Our Program
While many breeders claim to health test their cats, we take this responsibility to an entirely different level. In fact, every single one of our Maine Coon parents undergoes the most comprehensive health screening available. This means that before any cat enters our breeding program, they must pass multiple layers of evaluation.
To begin with, all of our Maine Coon parents are genetically tested through Optimal Selection, one of the most respected genetic testing laboratories in the world. Specifically, each parent is confirmed N/N (clear) for four critical genetic diseases: HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), and PKDef (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency). In other words, our cats do not carry even a single copy of these disease-causing genes, ensuring they cannot pass these conditions to their offspring.

Moreover, genetic testing is just the beginning. Because heart disease is one of the most serious concerns in Maine Coons, we go several steps further. Subsequently, every one of our Maine Coon parents is examined by a licensed veterinary cardiologist. During these examinations, both electrocardiograms (ECG) and echocardiograms are performed to thoroughly evaluate heart structure and function. As a result, we can confidently state that each parent has been cleared for HCM through the gold standard of cardiac screening.
Additionally, all Maine Coon parents are tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and confirmed negative. Similarly, hip evaluations are conducted on each breeding cat to ensure proper skeletal development and structure. Ultimately, this multi-faceted approach means that your kitten comes from parents who have been vetted at the highest possible level.
